Close to Jumieges Abbey
Stayed two single nights on way to & from Channel, as its easy driving distance, avoiding low emission zone at Rouen. The Abbey is the main attraction, an easy walk down the hill from the site. Pitches can be a bit uneven and cramped and although hedged around, this doesnt stop the feeling you are parked on top of your neighbours. Rather variable confusing layout of EHU and water taps, and facilities too few for the number of pitches when busy. Manouevring onto pitches can be tight.
Nice surroundings with woodland and sports pitches. Access to the site via a drive alongside the Seine through Duclair or over the Pont de Brotonne is a lovely bonus. Handy supermarkets in Le Trait nearby, and good bread and croissants delivered on site. Jumieges Abbey and the church of St Wandrille to the north are well worth visiting.
