Good for families

Seeing is believing

Stayed late August 2023 as a stopover returning from Denmark, A below par campsite and expected better from the respected CMAC. This is a small touring area on the edge of what I can only describe as a shanty town that houses hundreds (650-120) of all year round permanent pitches, a number of these caravans were ancient and in a poor state. Claims of 120 touring pitches is actually 50 or so EHU pitches with a tent field. As stated in other reviews, can't get in until 3:00 p.m., Staff were polite and spoke good English, pool and kids play are looked good and bar/ restaurant was fine. Will not return and do not recommend.

Comment from Club Site Inspector:

Thank you for your review
German sites often have resident areas for the local townspeople to enjoy the weekends and summers in the countryside. Their accommodation can sometimes be old but much loved by their owners and many are decorated with flowers and statues.
The open field used for touring is very busy in the high season but when I visited last week it was quiet and peaceful and wonderfully green. All German sites are closed after lunch to give people time to relax without cars driving on site and arrivals are until 1pm or after 3pm.
The new bar and restaurant are a great success and the washing facilities are heated and modern. This site is a suitable stopover for travelling further north or visiting Lûbeck or Kiel.
