Good for families

Disappointed.

To be fair it does state that the site can get a bit noisy in high season, but it wasn't high season when we stayed and it was noisy! The site is in 2 halves with the reception in 1 half and we were in the other half further down the road. There was work going on to update the site so the electric supply was an armoured cable rising up out of the ground at the back of the pitch. The pitch size was adequate, but there is 2 lines of decorative stones right down the middle for the wheels of the caravan to run on. Seems like a good idea, caravan in the middle, car on 1 side, awning on the other, but our awning was only a standard size and the front was up to the dividing hedge, making it impossible to peg out the front. The restaurant/bar on our side of the site was no better than a noisy transport cafe. Food was acceptable but in the evening they played loud music and there was a lot of noise. There were a lot vof kids running round screaming at each other, I know kids will be kids and just want to enjoy themselves, but it was just too noisy for older people. A lot of the customers were overnighters off the ferry at Calais, using it as a stopover and moving on the next day, and it is perfect for that, but for a week long stay, it wasn't our cup of tea and we won't be going back.
