As its name suggests the site is situated in the beautiful Glen of Aherlow. It is excellently maintained by its friendly and obliging owners with clean facilities and a constant supply of hot water in the toilets and showers. I contacted the site a week before our arrival as we were arriving on the Rosslare ferry at 6.30am. The owner told me to come straight to the site and a pitch would be available from 9am at the latest. As well as its beautiful location the site is only a short drive from Tipperary and also has a friendly local pub a few minutes walk from the entrance. We only stayed 2 nights as we were using the site as a stop off on our way to the west coast. We intend to return for longer next year to explore this lesser known but beautiful part of Ireland.
