Our 8 night visit at FWB came at the same time as some rainy weather. However, the site was very well kept and facilities were always clean. We have a caravan / awning and whilst there are some hard standings, the majority appeared to be well kept grass pitches. There was an indoor eating area for those who were camping and a games / TV room. Organised trips can be booked from the site and we would particularly recommend the Gap of Dunloe using the bus / boat / bus at the far end with a great 5 mile or so walk in between. The Ring of Kerry and Muckross House and Gardens are a must in this area and Killarney itself is a bustling little town with plenty of eating places. All in, I'd be happy to return to FWB.
