Lovely site in a peaceful setting
We stayed for two nights in our motor home over the late May bank holiday.
Pros
- The site is in a lovely rural setting, situated in a small village. The city of Saint Quentin is an easy cycle ride away on the canal tow path (it's very flat and took us about 40 minutes to cycle in).
- A bread van calls each morning bringing fresh bread and bakery products
- Small, but well-stocked, village shop about a 5 minutes walk away.
- Friendly,helpful, English-speaking site owner
- Large private pitch
- Clean facilities
- Cheap WiFi with good access
Cons
- Water in the showers was scalding hot and could not be temperature controlled (luckily we didn't get sunburned, or have any young children with us - in these circumstances the showers would be unusable)
- Lovely to see chickens roaming free on the site - but not so lovely being woken up by the cockerel at about 5am each morning. (This would be VERY annoying for a longer stay!)
