Overnight stay only

Looked a nice site overall. We only stayed overnight but did feel as though we were squashed in with very little room between vans. Others in the same row were staying between one and two weeks. This is only a first impression of the site and not a detailed review of facilities. I would use again as a stop-over without hesitation.

Lovely site and location.

Stayed for 2 weeks at start of August and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a serviced pitch which was a reasonable size although a littled shaded by large trees. The mesh thats put in the grass made it uncomfortable to walk on without shoes but wasnt a problem otherwise. The site is quite lively but has a really nice feel to it, with friendly staff who all spoke English as did most of the Dutch people we met. The town and surrounding area are lovely. The market on Thursday is well worth a visit, and the best way to see everything is by bicycle as there are cycle paths everywhere and it's absolutely coat! Also visited The Hague and the beach at Scheveningen which were lovely too. All in all a great base to explore a lovely country, we will definitely return to this site.

Wonderful stay

We stayed here late June 2017 for 3 nights, would definitely stay here again. The site is easy to find just off the motorway through the park. Very quiet and peaceful with good links to cycle routes. Delft within easy walking distance, there's also a bus virtually outside the campsite. The park the site is situated in, is lovely for a cycle, stroll or run. There's even a specially designated place on the lakeside for doggy swims! We didn't use the restaurant or pool so I can't comment on them but the washroom facilities were good and kept very clean. The pitch was spacious and easy to access though there are some very near the entrance which looked quite snug! Delft itself is very picturesque the old and new Kirk and the museums were very interesting, I found out that the Dutch William of Orange isn't the same William of Orange as was the British king! Who knew?!

Lovely site

We stayed 10 nights on this site, leaving on 3 august. It is very easy to get to from Rotterdam europort, and is in a handy location for Delft, on foot or by bus. The site is surrounded by a beautiful park with cycle paths and a city farm. The site itself is well laid out in small sections. Facilities are very good, clean and always open. The grandchildren loved the swimming pool, which they went in every day, at no cost. There were lots of activities for children, mostly free. Good shop on site selling milk, other food and a bakery with scrumptious fresh croissants and bread. The restaurant was lovely, though a bit expensive. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, speaking excellent English. We highly recommend this site.

July 17

A welcoming site in a fantastic location. We had a super pitch with water and drainage which worked well. The pitches had some shade from trees and were generally separated from one another with hedges. There was some grass, some muddy bits (which were fine when dry) and an area with a mesh with grass growing through. The size of the pitches were ample without being huge, no problem manoeuvring the van with a mover but may be tricky without. The was entertainment for children but nothing for adults. The showers and toilets were clean if not ultra modern. There is a shop which appeared to be reasonably stocked. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean a well tended. The town of Delft is great, you need to explore as there seemed to be a lot more than initially meets the eye and more to see around every corner. The restaurants cafes and bars are very good and some nice food is available. A bike is able to be well used in the area but take it easy as there are thousands of them.... The transport links are good with a regular rail service to The Hague and Amsterdam and at reasonable cost. Overall a very enjoyable week and a site that we would happily return to.

Great location, pitch was tight squeeze

We stayed here for 2 nights to visit Delft and The Hague. It's a great location walking distance to town but with a bus connection if you want it and also easy to cycle. The pitch we had was a tight squeeze for our motorhome (7.2m) so we were at an angle in it and struggled to get level. But facilities are good - plenty of clean showers and toilets, bar/restaurant and a reasonably well stocked supermarket with fresh bread in the mornings. Staff were charming and helpful.

Keep going back!

We've visited this site several times over the last ten years and plan to do so again this year. Fabulous facilities, staff who are always happy to help, on site shop, fantastic location and the pool on site just adds to the holiday feeling! The children love it (now including two teenagers) as there's plenty for them to do in the Delft area and we love exploring further afield by bike. Days out to the villages and towns within about a 15 mile radius are amazing by bicycle, thoroughly recommend the whole experience. There's a main station in Delft should you wish to travel to Amsterdam for a day out - we managed this too.

Convenient base to explore Holland

This is a very busy site , even when we stayed in early October . The staff are very helpful , and speak very good English . Pitches are tidy and a reasonable size . The showers and washing facilities have plenty of hot water and are cleaned daily . I imagine it would get quite busy in high season . There are regular buses from the end of the road to the railway station in Delft , where you can easily get to Amsterdam and Rotterdam . It is about a 20 minute walk to the centre of Delft . There is a good Jumbo supermarket in Delft , and a Plus supermarket about 15 minutes walk . Driving is a bit of a nightmare . Best to walk , cycle , or use public transport . Would definitely stay here again if exploring Holland .

First time in holland.

A delightful site. The staff were always polite and helpful. The shuttle from the site into delft is a great way to go. Delft itself is a great place to visit with plenty to do. The local transport both trams and trains are easy to use and to get to both the Hague an Amsterdam. Certainly a site we would go back to.

First Time Abroad

This was our first time taking the van abroad so this site was picked as it was close to the ferry port and the reviews were good...it did not disappoint! Our thinking was if we hated driving abroad there wasn't far to the site to dump the van and use public transport for the rest of the holiday...we needn't of worried, the roads are a dream. The directions of the final bit before the site leave a lot to be desired but if you just find IKEA as if yur going in there and then follow the directions all will be well. We arrived to a really warm welcome. Touring abroad is very different from the strict rules we're used to on club sites and as we pitched to lots of people, music, children, other vans, tents that were very close, while everything else going on too we were regretting our 3 week booking after our long journey to get there! We needn't of worried as all was well and we easily slipped into Dutch life. The site is brilliantly situated for lots of towns and cities and the transport links are brilliant..we were clocking about 12K walking everyday with three children in tow so had a great time exploring. The roads are easy to drive and you won't encounter traffic like in the UK. The site staff will go out of their way to help and are always a great source of information. The site is well kept even at the height of the season and its lovely and quiet at night. I suppose what would of been nice would of been a bit of warning about how different it is out there...we were there in July/August and the site is used by locals for looooong holidays, so expect lots of people who live in Delft to be on holiday, the trouble with that is all their friends visit most days to eat, socialise, use the pool etc etc. This isn't as bad as it sounds but did take a bit of getting used too! We learn't a little Dutch before we went and although you would never need it, it was nice to be able to make an effort. We absolutly loved our three weeks and will be returning in the future!
