Stayed here for 3 nights en route back from the Dordogne as we wanted to explore the area around Le Mans. The site is well run and the French family who own and run the site are very approachable and genuinely want you to enjoy the site. There was a visiting baker and the restaurant was okay (just busy around 7pm and quieter after 8.30pm). The pitches are separated by a plant - usually a hydrangea and are large. The electricity is 10amp but some of the electric posts would require 2 x power leads to reach the pitches (don't forget your 2 pin euro adapter). It was Bastille day whilst at the site and they did a great bring your own food and drink to the BBQ's which were provided at the front of the chateau. This was followed by a walk with lampions (lanterns) into the local village - followed by some great fireworks - all for free as usual! Oh - nearly forgot - the music in the toilet blocks was amusing, but the toilets and showers were very good quality and cleaned frequently. Be careful when walking near the rare hoopoe bird nest though! So far as the local area goes - Le Mans is worth a half day visit to see the old city but there's not a lot else in the area. Enjoyed the site and the relaxed atmosphere which is generated by the owners - let the owners tell you about the history of the chateau (they probably won't need inviting to tell you!)...
Overnight only on way to Ferry Port
Lovely spacious site, but we were out of the busy holiday season.
We were able to choose our pitch . Facilities were good . Dog friendly ,lovely walks through woods.
Unable to connect to the sites secure website, could only pick up insecure open sites. Staff tried to assist but for some reason it was not possible. .
It was lovely for us for an overnight and would use it again for the same.
The restaurant was also closed during our stay. But fresh Bread was brought to the patio area each morning , baked locally ...yum !!

Lovely site in French Countryside.
Excellent site, with excellent facilities and friendly English speaking staff. The facilities are very good and clean and where else would you get piped music in toilets. They even provide an aperitif on the lawn outside the chateau on certain days, bit like a mini garden party. Located in lovely French countryside and you can walk around the chateau`s extensive grounds, they even provide a map to guide you around. The hook up points are spread out and you might need an extension beyond 25 metres so be aware, typical French setup, they don't provide full service pitches. Small restaurant on site with a limited but good menu, must book or you wont get a table.
Overnight Stop
We planned to stay just the one night on the way back to Caen. It's a bit off the motorway route so be prepared for some driving on relatively minor roads. Having run our supplies down we were looking forward to a meal in the restaurant but because the site had been busy over the Le Mans weekend it had been decided to close the restaurant. I like beans on toast but not much!
LOVELY SITE
Our stop-over two night stay was very enjoyable in idyllic surroundings. The personal touch by the owner in arranging a welcome to campers was very much appreciated.
The only suggestion we would make is the installation of a motorhome service point.
