Wagons in a circle

Another transit stop for us. Easy location to find, clean tidy site with a superb restaurant. We were even taken to our pitch and the guy stayed to ensure our mains cable was long enough as he offered an extension. The vans are pitched round the outside of the field with the mains facilities in the middle. Very cowboys and indians.

Great welcoming atmosphere

Amazing campsite. Everyone is so friendly, when we got there, we were invited to a big barbecue where everyone could cook their food together and sit together. Even the owners came out and served wine and local cheeses to everyone. We only stayed one night but wanted to stay longer. A huge site with loads of space and good clean facilities.

Overnight stop

Due to the very heavy traffic on the A10 from La Rochelle we didn't get to sample all the facilities. However, it was a beautiful site with large pitches. We stayed in the outside field as we had to leave at 4:30am for Caen. The staff were lovely. We arrived late but they put us at ease and nothing too much trouble.  We used the takeaway which was a fair price and the pizzas were delicious ( or were we just starved?!). Lovely setting, easy access from Le Mans even if I did miss the motorway exit and ended up closer to the city! We hope to visit for longer. Only problem were flies! Never seen anything like them!!! Couldn't open the door for a second!!

I cannot rate this site highly enough. Every aspect is amazing and we just can't wait to visit again. The staff are fantastic and all speak excellent English and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I've not given it full marks for location because the site is so good we just stayed put and didn't tour the area so couldn't honestly say what is nearby. I can highly recommend this site for adults and families.

Amazing Campsite

Truly the most beautiful and fabulous campsite we've ever stayed on. This is the campsite by which to judge all others. Great atmosphere, calm and relaxing, and friendly helpful hosts. Absolutely beautiful site with main pitches around edges of large fields near main château. Loads of space. Couldn't recommend this place more. We liked it so much we returned for 2 more nights on the way back up to Calais.

A Great Stopover

Used the site as a stopover after travelling through the night from the Med. Found it to be an absolute oasis after 12 days of a cramped pitch, dust and noise. Nothing was too much trouble, a lovely spacious pitch in one of the fields near the house, although needed an extension lead for the hook-up. Lovely to have a flat pitch and grass. People friendly and the kids loved the pool. It was a very hot day and was so nice to relax before the final leg of our journey to Caen. Nice walks for the dog. We would have loved to have stayed here for at least a week. We will return.

Pre book your pitch location!

A lovely calm site after staying at a frenetic busy site further south. Facilities & staff were helpful overall after an initial debate.... The debate was around the pitch location. They wanted to place us in the woods (dark & small pitch) then in the bottom field- too far away from the pool and main terrace. We had passed a couple of lovely, empty pitches which they tried to tell us were unavailable. When I expressed my extreme disappointment we were eventually accommodated on one of the pitches that was 'unavailable'. It's worth going on line to view the camp sites map and making your request to best suit your family's needs. We wanted space to play so one of the 3 fields around the main building was best for us.

Great site, well located for overnight stops to break up your travels

Used the site for the last 5 years for overnight stops, travelling both north and south in France. Great site, with a specific field for 1 night stop-overs, so not to disturb the main campsite, with early morning departures. Stop-over field has lots of tress and shade. Toilet facilities good, if basic. Local baker visits daily at 08.30am, with warm, freshly baked produce. EHU needs a long cable, as they are few and far between in the stop over field.

Great site well run

Stopped here several times now, always well organised when we arrive. Facilities always clean and staff very helpful, even though this time is was full, nothing is too much trouble. Pitches are nice size. Location is a bit away from towns but still ok. Good for 1 night stops when travelling further afield.

Busy, however, well run and friendly

Only stayed 1 night on way South. Large quiet pitch near entrance. Lots going on at reception with bar, games and food. Very busy though the facilities coped whilst we were there. Staff attentive and friendly, demonstrated how to run a busy family orientated site. Would stop again if going that way.
