Pleasant Site

Stayed here for 5 nights.  Pitches are grass and surrounded by tall (2m+) beeches hedges.  As the name suggests there are a lot of mature trees. Pitches are of varying size and most are very tight for a caravan and awning.  I booked a pitch with a water tap.  However, the allocated pitch was underneath a mature tree, which, combined with the high hedges and  its narrowness, meant that it would be in shade for most of the day. The alternative offered had similar issues and I finally settled for a large pitch but no water tap. There are 2 toilet blocks. The one nearest the office is brand new and immaculate.  The toilets are designed without seats. The shower cubicles are tight for those with a fuller figure.  The smaller toilet block is older but just as clean. The village is nearby and has a range of restaurants and cafes, a shop and a bakery.  Bread is available at the office if ordered the night before.  There is a free ferry across the Seine, but it does not take caravans.  For those exploring the area to the south using the ferry cuts off about 20 miles from your trip.  However, beware if you car has a long nose the angle of the ramps means that the front will scrape the concrete. The welcome was friendly and the changing of the pitch caused no problems.
