Total chill

Stayed mid July. Site very quite so we picked our own pitch. Good size pitches. The pitch we were on had elec water waste and chemical waste which was accessed by a sealed cover. Great pool with separate children's water play area.only used take away which was good. Wi fi on pitch €20 for the week.Owners and staff excellent.we will return. Wish we had stayed.

Blissful peace

We had a lovely few days R&R here. Beautiful, quiet site, amazing facilities block. When we arrived we were told that the Caravan Club pitches were towards the back of the site so we asked to be moved to a pitch next to the lake. They said this was the reaction of a lot of CC visitors. 6A electricity instead of 10A but so what? The uninterrupted view of the lake was incomparable! The Caravan Club booking service is great but please don't try to nanny us.

This is a lovely place for all visitors. The facilities are top of the range and spotless. The experience is enhanced by the family who run it. They are the nicest and most helpful you will find any where. Particularly where you are in difficulties. Our thanks goes to them all for their kindness.

Excellent site

Second time we have stayed here as the location, setting and staff/Owners are all first class. Very peaceful and relaxing setting with nothing too much trouble for owners. Large pitches on Lakeside with spotless toilet block and stunning pool area. Very quiet site with relaxation being the key word. Supermarket in Boussac and a larger one in La Chatre. Thoroughly recommend.

Superb site

Site in rural setting, affording peace, quiet and relaxation. Pitches overlooking the lake are spacious and separated by shrubs / trees to ensure privacy. All facilities are well maintained by friendly, helpful staff and the toilet / shower block / pool areas are kept spotlessly clean. The restaurant and takeaway offer a goodselection of meals at very reasonable cost and there is a small shop selling groceries. No hesitation in recommending!

Peaceful haven in rural France

Rural site surrounded by peaceful countryside. Lovely large pitches overlooking a lake with boats/pedalos. Swimming pool & water play area(s) which the kids loved. Good restaurant on site and very useful takeaway service with menus similar to the restaurant - very good. We found plenty to do on site & in surrounding area. Our daughters particularly like the 'adventure in the trees' nearby. The site was clean, quiet, spacious, and all the facilities were excellent.

Great site!

Site is really nice, with spacious pitches and all services as described. Showers etc were always clean. Facilities on site were good, and clean. Plenty to do for families. Staff were very helpful ( we needed a dentist for severe tooth problem, and they rang round, booked us an appointment and made sure we could find it - one tooth extracted and problem solved!). Plenty to do in the local area. Will certainly be back again.

Rural France

A beautiful site situated in the French countryside.  Very peaceful and quiet.  We had a Large pitch with 16 amp electricity which was very spacious and had great views over the vast lake.  Leveling blocks were required as many parts of the site do slope.  The emphasis is on peace and quiet and there are very few site organised activities although there is a good restaurant with a good set menu (open 4 nights per week), there is also a takeaway (open every night) serving very similar food to the restaurant (not your typical burgers/pizza!).  The site has a beautiful pool area and there are nice walks through the chateau grounds which are extensive.  The showers, washing up facilities and laundry are good and located in a central block and are kept very clean.  There is a small shop on the site but it really only caters for bread (which has to be ordered) and the basics, although there is a Carrefour Market shop in Boussac just 10 mins away by car.  The surrounding area is very rural and there is not a lot to do and see however there is a lake/activity center about 12 miles away which is popular with families.  The owner and their staff are very welcoming and helpful.  A good choice of site if you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday away from it all.
