A Marmite Site
We're onsite now, week 9. To update a few things, the large tomato greenhouse next to the site is now stripped of its plastic and is being readied for operation so the noisy flapping plastic has gone. Long stay rates are terrific value for money, 2 & 3 nights are not, if you're here to do 4 weeks wild camping clothes washing that's fine obviously but you'll pay for it. It's 2.1 miles walk to the beach, or you can cycle. The winds around here can be a bit challenging at times, definitely keep an eye on the weather forecast, although it always has settled by night time. You really need a bike here for the beach, Lagoon, or the local Spar and excellent neighbouring bar is a 1 mile walk. The onsite shop is very well stocked and not overpriced. Bar food is fair, closed Mondays during our stay but open during the peak months. Facilities are kept very clean indeed and any issues are soon sorted by the excellent friendly staff. Car hire delivered to the site is great value, particularly long term unsurprisingly. Do your research, if you don't want to see the greenhouses - don't visit this area, if you want great value, almost zero rainfall, a lovely friendly site and Village (Cabo is super) nearby, then visit. Super cheap bus service runs to AlmerÃa and beyond and is across from the Spar in Pujaire. Certainly not a place for adolescents, apart from the football pitch there's little here for that age group. Youngsters will be happy all day no doubt at the pool. We booked for 32 nights and are currently on night 63 and will unlikely leave until the 90 day max approaches. As I say, a Marmite site, but if you visit here for a couple of nights and don't give the area a chance that's a shame. Sat writing this at 08:15, sun glorious as always.
