Lovely site and very interesting points of interest to visit
We've just returned home from a five night stay in this campsite. We traveled with our dog and had a warm welcome from staff who spoke excellent English and were very friendly and helpful. Highlights were the walk into Bled around the lake. Site is about half way around the lake opposite Bled. The site was full but it was very peaceful. Took 50 mins to one hour to get into Bled along an easy path mostly shaded by trees. We'd asked for a shady pitch and got one! The site had a mobile stall selling bread and pastries each morning. Lovely treat was a breakfast basket which could be ordered and delivered to your pitch full of local produce. Kept us going for a few days. 16 euros pp. Restaurant, bar and cafe, ice cream stall and shop all on site. Could pay for a private bathroom. We didn't, and found the facilities clean and modern. Walked to the castle on the lake and on the way came across the George Best bar where we had a warm welcome. Drove to a neighbouring lake, Bohinj, and had blissful walk around it. Heard a cuckoo. Had the famous cream cake in the Park Hotel in Bled where it originated. Would thoroughly recommend this site.
