Great stay at Bled
Stayed here for 4 nights in June 2022. Busy campsite in a popular tourist destination - campsite however coped well - great facilities in good condition - Initial pitch was a bit muddy - although the other pitches around seemed fine. Upgraded to a larger hard standing pitch in a quieter area which was excellent. Great to swim in Lake Bled and wasn't spoiled by it being busy - large lake so plenty room and water was very clear.
Enjoyed the onsite restaurant and bar - all staff across the site friendly and helpful
The campsite was dog friendly - however did take to bus to Ljubljana 56 km away. Our research before attempting this had suggested there would be no problems in taking a dog on public transport in Slovenia. The first driver allowed the dog on bus but when we tried to return we were refused by a grumpy bus driver- luckily found a more sympathetic driver on the next bus who took us back to Bled. When we checked the website for that particular bus company it suggested that they don't transport dogs unless in a carrier- so may be best to check the website for the specific bus companies in advance when in Slovenia.
