Nice location for short stay or overnight.
What a beautiful quite French site. We used this as a stop over site, in low season, as it is very close to the A26/E17. The village of Guiginicourt is only a short walk and has a Carrefour supermarket in the centre and an Artisan Patisserie, who make the most delightful products. If you do walk into the village be aware, the main road is quit busy with traffic including trucks. The locals park on the pavement to avoid restricting the traffic. So if you do walk to town. Turn left immediately when you exit the site and head towards the church, which dominates the landscape. This takes you on a parallel road into town, enjoying a short quite walk, without traffic. We only stayed a few nights and found the toilet block adequate, typically French, only providing warm water to the showers. We would have preferred if the water was hotter. I expect the toilets to be fully engaged in the high season.
The owners are welcoming and friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area. The site is well laid out, managed and clean. We will stay again, when we are next in the area and use the train to explore further a field.
