Nice location for short stay or overnight.

What a beautiful quite French site. We used this as a stop over site, in low season, as it is very close to the A26/E17. The village of Guiginicourt is only a short walk and has a Carrefour supermarket in the centre and an Artisan Patisserie, who make the most delightful products. If you do walk into the village be aware, the main road is quit busy with traffic including trucks. The locals park on the pavement to avoid restricting the traffic. So if you do walk to town. Turn left immediately when you exit the site and head towards the church, which dominates the landscape. This takes you on a parallel road into town, enjoying a short quite walk, without traffic. We only stayed a few nights and found the toilet block adequate, typically French, only providing warm water to the showers. We would have preferred if the water was hotter. I expect the toilets to be fully engaged in the high season. The owners are welcoming and friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area. The site is well laid out, managed and clean. We will stay again, when we are next in the area and use the train to explore further a field.

Very nice site.

When we visited site was not busy and gave a feeling of being very open. Some pitches are suitable to 'drive through' - ideal for overnight stoppers. Facilities were good although showers could be warmer. Staff were excellent, very helpful no matter what you wanted to know - including weather forecast. Visited Reims on train. Village supermarket (with fuel) and excellent bakers within a 10 min walk. Really goods pizzas available on site. Certain to use it next year.

A Very Pleasant Site.

We stayed on this site for 2 nights on route to Lake Garda. What a beautiful site very friendly and helpful staff. Cannot fault this site immaculate shower facilities, well worth a visit just off the moterway so very convenient for a stop over site. Lovely walk onlong the river into a very pleasant small town, lookout for the cake shop but closed on Tuesday's!

A peaceful haven

We spent one week at this site in September 2015. The owners are incredibly friendly and give lots of useful information. There is a train service to Rheims, but the times were not suitable for our needs. The owner told us about the excellent Park and Ride using the local tram which takes you to the city centre and to the Stade de Rheims for football fans. The pitches are large and you can choose your own, the site itself is spacious and very quiet. The toilet block is very clean and has separate male and female sections (but don't forget to take your toilet roll, as is usual on the majority of French sites.) There is a small restaurant/bar selling a selection of home made food at very reasonable prices together with draught beer!!! We highly recommend this site. Il faut absolument y aller!!!!

A Pleasant Site

This is a pleasant site on the banks of the river L'Aisne in the small town of Guignicourt. There is an indoor swimming pool, sauna and keep fit area if you like that sort of thing. There is a small on site restaurant - mainly pizza. Sanitary facilities are a bit 'Heath Robinson' but relatively clean. A 30 minute drive takes you to a large supermarket car park on the outskirts of Rheims at a tram terminus which takes you into the city centre. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good English.

Linger longer

We stayed at this site twice on our way to and from the south. I wish we had stayed longer! Lovely site right in the middle of a village with a small supermarket, petrol station all within easy walking distance of the site. There is a train station in the village with access to Reims. The owners were lovely. I would definitely stay here again and make a weekend at least of it.

Excellent ,Friendly,Clean, good short or long stay.

Booked this site after liking and reading previous reviews. Was heading to Lake Annecy and wanted a two night stopover from ferry at Zeebrugge. This site was excellent . Just off main motorway, easy to find, very friendly reception, allowed to choose large pitch.  Very friendly fellow campers. We walked ten minutes to the railway station and visited lovely Reims for the day. We also found that if you went  out of the site and up the hill for about 400 meters , there is a fabulous  flat cycle/walk route which takes you to many lovely little villages for miles. There is also a lovely golf course in the next village where we had coffee and made to feel welcome. Highly recommend this site and will definitely use for longer next time.
