Worth visiting

Stopped here on way out and way back from summer holiday. Only 2 adults and a all dog, so family suitability and facilities just as seen, not tried. Very clean, nicely laid out site with a good, very clean toilet block. Showers are automatic, be careful not to swing your towel near the sensor, or you will get wet again.! Swimming pool is covered, clean and water is warm. You have to take your own toilet paper to the loos, hence reduction of 1 star, but they are clean. Midges can be a problem, they bite a lot, but insect repellent helps. Excellent dog walk by the river, with waste disposal bins. Good site for Dragons Cave WW1 memorial and for visits to Laon - medieval walled town, Rheims and the Champagne town of Epernay. Definitely worth more than just a 1 night stop-over if you can manage it.

Lovely small freindly site.

This was our last campsite stop off during our first adventure to France. Our main holiday was taken in Doussard, Lake Annacy an area not to be missed! This pretty and small campsite is set in a lovely village, the staff are very friendly and the pitches are well maintained and of a good size. Ther is a small but adequate covered swimming pool and games area, ideal for families with childen. The showers and toilets were of a good standard and clean. Take your repellent as the river runs alongside. This campsite is ideal if your wanting to visit the many nearby 1st world war sites and memorials. The commonwealth memorial was a very poignant day out and had me in tears, plentiful parking for motorhomes and you can walk from there to other first world war sites/memorials around the area. We only stayed two nights but we would recommend this site for a longer visit.

A good convenient site

We stayed at this site in July 2016 on Bastille Day. The site management arrangedspecial food and fireworks, so a good time was had by all. The site managers were very helpful and spoke good English, they provided good food and nothing was too much trouble. The site is well appointed the toilets and showers were modern and bright. Perversely the showers were only warm most of the time and following rain there were mosquitoes about, other than that the site is well located fora stopover or for a longer break seeing the world war 1 sites locally and Reims. We will stop here again.

Overnight stay

Stayed on site on way out to Switzerland and on the way back. The owners were very friendly and welcoming even though we arrived late owing to a 4 hr delay at the tunnel on the way out. Site very clean and well laid out. Plenty of space on pitches. Fresh food prepared on site. Facilities very good. Peace and quiet after a long day. Would happily return for a longer stay. Watch out for the mozzies.

Good stop off point

Our first trip abroad in a Motorhome we were given a few options of where to pitch the site was very clean, the showers and toilets were few in number but never had to queue, nice little village with its own bakery however you can purchase various local products at the reception. We caught the train in to Reims but there wasn't much to hold our interest in the city but still nice to visit, the owners/reception staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. We stayed for 2 nights before moving on to another pre booked site, inour opinion 2 nights was just right for the rest stopover. We did get attacked by the Mozzies though so be aware the river runs just passed the site.

Very good, excellent staff

A very pretty , peaceful site with good facilities including a lovely small spa where massages could be booked , and a well kept pool. Easy to access from the motorway and a good stopover or longer stay site. Staff speak excellent English. Local shops are a short walk away. Pitches mainly flat and all large. We had very wet weather and the staff were very helpful assisting people to get off the pitches. Our van had a major technical problem when leaving the site. The staff could not have been better. They took over , towed us into the car park and fixed the problem with great expertise. They refused any payment despite giving us two hours of their time and giving us free parts . Needless to say we did insist on giving them a small gift, but this was clearly not required. You are in very safe friendly hands on this lovely site and we thoroughly recommend it.

Good stop off site

A really peaceful site by the river. Seemed fairly clean throughout. Run by very helpful staff who speak good English. 3 Pin electric supplied. Fresh bread and pastries delivered daily to order. If your travelling south or North this site is a great place to stay on your way to or from Calais. On the down side the toilet facilities although clean can be frustrating. Pot luck if you get a toilet seat, no toilet roll and a proximity sensor on the showers - which will get you, before or after, you get dressed. Beware, during wet periods there is a chance you will get stuck as the ground gets very soggy (you are right next to the river) although there are some pitches higher up. I would stay again.

Good site

Three years ago we stayed for a short break not long after it had reopened. It was good then but the developments since with new hook up points have improved it even more. Good sized flat pitches, helpful staff, good facilities, village with supermarket and garage on the door step all within a couple of miles of the motorway. Rheims and Laon nearby and Paris accessible by TGV high speed train (cheaper on Sundays and free parking). Highly recommend it!!

Clean, well kept, convenient site.

The site was welcoming, clean, tidy, nice sized grass pitches. We only stayed one night as convenient for onward journey but would go back as very peaceful next to river.  Only downside was a very basic restaurant menu with not a lot of choice.
