Great stop off point for the journey home

Only 5 km from the A26 motorway above Reims. Lovely site next to the river with good dog walks. Mosquito repellant a good idea! Friendly English speaking staff. I was surprised at how many English caravans and motorhomes there were. Typically no toilet paper and not quite as clean as the English Caravan Club sites that we stayed on, but would definitely stay here again. Pizza or chicken and chips were on offer in the restaurant and a bread roll ordering service available.

Good stop off site

We used this site to break our journey to Annecy on the way out and from Switzerland on our return. It was just off the motorway which was a great location, whilst still being a quiet site. The facilities for our teenagers were great, we didn't use the pool but they enjoyed the trampoline and outdoor gym-style equipment. It was lovely to have something suitable for them to let off steam after a long journey, as often sites only have a park for little ones. Friendly staff, good sized pitch, we didn't use the restaurant but might well have done if I hadn't already planned our meal that night. The only let down was the usual French style of having no toilet paper or soap in the toilets. If the Caravan Club could put this into all their sites abroad it would set them apart from the rest!

A hidden gem!

This site is the perfect stop over when heading further south, 3 hours ish from the tunnel, and easily accessible from the motorway. We stayed for one night on the way down and had a long weekend on the way back...we were greeted like old friends! The site is very quiet, the pitches are a good size and there is lots to visit locally. ......just wear mosquito repellent in the evening!

Stop-over

Lovely site that sits alongside a slow moving river. Watch out for mosquitos, we just used insect repellant and fly-spray and had no problems. Lovely little village to walk around with a Carrefour market which was well stocked and very convenient. Friendly staff and bread/croissant ordering service. The restaurant on site was pizza etc eat in or take away, we did not use this so cannot comment. Toilets had no toilet paper and the showers were average. However this is a lovely peaceful site with plenty of places to visit locally and we would definitely return

One night stop over

Stayed on this site for one night on our way to Switzerland. Nice and easy to find from the motorway and a friendly welcome at the end of a long journey. Were originally booked for three nights but due to a misshap before leaving the UK had to restrict our stay to one night. The site would be good for a longer stay.

So friendly

We arrived on appararently one of the busiest evenings that they have had and ordered food. We could not have been made more welcome, when our pizzas were delayed they brought us free portions of chips, and we still got our pizzas 15 minutes before the time that we expected them to be ready. We sat outside and as dusk fell they brought out candles for the tables. It was a really lovely experience although they were so busy. The site was great, all very clean and so close to the motorway. We will definitely go back

Two Nights Stop-Over

We found this site easy to locate on route to our final destination of the Black Forest in Germany. The site owners and staff were very friendly. The local amenities were readily accessible as the site is close to the small town, but quiet because it backs onto the river Ainse. After leaving the site we were quickly back on the main road to take up the next leg of our journey.

Good Stopover

A friendly site that makes a good stopover on the way to/from Calais. Convenient for visiting Reims and Laon. Toilets and showers clean and modern, and bar/restaurant adequate. Midges etc are a problem as there is a slow moving river next to the site.

Used as a Stopover

Stayed one night in late June.  Choose your own pitch (all grass) and of a good size.  One toilet block but no toilet paper.  Small restaurant and swimming pool.

Lovely Friendly site

We were travelling with 2 sets of friends on their 1st caravan trip to France and wanted somewhere not to far for trip. Although described as a stop over site we were happy to stay here for the 2 weeks. Very rural area and very quite but good towns close by to visit. Lovely friendly site and owners couldn't be more helpful. Turn up and pick any pitch you like and face any direction! Toilets are fine but you need your own paper!! Nice small restaurant with basic food everyday till 9pm.  Food is very good though! Definitely need mosi repellent, as the wee blighters are out in force late afternoon and evening. Nice small pool, trampoline for kids, table tennis and boule!  Highly recommended.
