Good for families

We love this site but…..

Like I said we love this site, location for York city centre is excellent, the wardens are always helpful and friendly, the whole site and facilities are spotless so what’s the but…. Unfortunately at £48 per night it’s getting too expensive!

Whist fees have gone up considerably (the previous VAT discount has made it seem worse) £48 a night to stay in the centre of York (especially in the summer) is a very reasonable price. You only have to look at the price of alternative accommodation in York.

I understand accomodation is expensive in the Centre of York...however, it needs to be compared against the cost of a comparative camp site.  I totally agree that £48 is too expensive compared to independent, equally lovely sites in great locations.
