York a 'Go Go'
We arrived late thanks to the A1 being closed and as a result there were only a couple of pitches left. In the corner of the site under tall trees where every pigeon seemed to find our skylights and roof. This lasted the whole of our holiday despite several thunder storms doing their best. We parked up as instructed and were amazed to get satellite television through a gap in the trees. This was short lived however as we had to move as our rear end was over the roadway . We now could not get TV as we lost signal were too far away to plug into TV point. The first night was spend walking, though the back gate and finding small houses, shops and a pub. Next day exploring the city was brilliant from walking around the walls, visiting the Minster, strolling through the streets and afternoon tea. The initial siting situation was soon brightened by the day in the city. The site was very busy but the facilities were very clean.
