This site is in a great location, on the banks of the Ouse and only 15 minutes on foot from the centre of York. It doesn't look like your average CC site as its all gravel and tarmac, due to the flood risk I suppose. This doesn't detract from it at all and generally the site is up to the club's high standards. I've marked the facilities down to 4 stars because of the staff's eagerness to close the toilets a bit early for cleaning (To 'get a good start' apparently) and I couldn't see an alternative (we don't pay nearly £40 a night to use our own facilities, if I wanted to do that I'd pay a fiver for a farmers field). I've also marked the peace and quiet down to 4 stars because of the park next door but overall the site is excellent and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I'd definitely recommend it to you.
