It's a long way from Scotland and we could never get a week here because of weekenders so we visited on foot one time we were in York. We cannot fathom why people want this site, Beechwood Grange is much nicer! 

We have also noted the method of clearing the jam of the rush for "best pitch" at Rowtree Park but there has normally always been one of the site staff in the office to take payment when most return to the office after getting on their pitch

,But then as on all sites there are those who do not think there is a need to advise the warden staff of their pitch until they realise they cannot access the facilities or exit barrier with keys then of course it is the staff at fault 

But far less conveniant for everything, including  great dog walking from site and who spends much time on site anyway

If the warden has asked you to pay between 1pm and 5pm, why not delay your trip to the shops until 1pm and pay on your way past the office. If you didn’t arrive until 12 how much time are you going to lose by waiting till 1pm. York won’t close in the meantime !!!
