I have been a member of the club for over 20 years and this is the first time i feel the need to write a bad review. So different from our wonderful friendly experience on Edinburgh site the day before. We should have been told on booking or on the website, that the gate to York is locked at 10 pm. The other access to York a pleasant along the river is blocked by road works. Access to York is the only reason anyone would also want to stay on these jam packed small pitches...just like an expensive 'carpark' Site description mentions Disabled Toliet ....on getting to site I was told that all facilities where upstairs! I had just had a knee replacement and this site was totally unsuitable for me. Also unsuitable for my husband who was working evenings in York. If you wander into town for a meal out...you are on a 10 pm curfew! Why is it locked so early?
