We’ve stopped here twice for one night on our way south. I know there’s very little grass because of the river busting it’s banks and flooding the site but why have everything grey? You can get the same chips in green , I know it would take more up keep to have grey and green chips but let’s face it the wardens don’t have grass to cut .. speaking of wardens what very over officious bunch ... Park my car in a spare pitch while I set up (place is very tight) and was told to move it immediately.. I did .. I blocked the road . Pitches are very tight. The only reason I would return would be to go to the very nice Indian curry house which is a short walk when you go out the back gate. I’ve no idea what the big attraction is .. you can only see York a couple of times .
