Great site

The site is a few minutes walk from the York wall and only a few minutes more to the centre of town. In the three days we were there we walked the wall, took an open top bus, took a boat trip, visited the minster, visited the roman baths under the pub and lots of other places. The site is slightly unusual in that it has to survive being flooded so it is mostly gravel, the power points are up high and the reception and facilities are up on the first floor. There is, however, a ramp to allow disabled access. The temporary access to town through Vine Street is very easy but you do need to be back by 10pm or walk an extra ten minutes by the main exit. We loved the place.
