Good for families

Good but noisy

Well kept site with friendly and helpful wardens. Location is excellent for walking into York centre and it's various attractions. Didn't realise that the rules for a quiet period overnight had changed. I'm sure there was no vehicle acccess or egress allowed between 23:00 and 07:00 before? Now the gates are open for entering and leaving the site 24 hours a day. This has turned it into a noisy site with vehicle movement as early as 04:30 when we stayed. Also as previous reviewer said there were people arriving from 11:30 when the earliest arrival is supposed to be 12:00. We arrived at 12:02 and were told that 25 units had already entered the site that day.

In out times are put in place in order to avoid entry exit problems which can inconvenience everyone including the public who may actually be working not holidaying.

Perhaps wardens could time log in those who arrive early or leave late.

The club could then call to account/penalise those who abuse as i suspect there are the those who repeatedly perform this act to get a "best pitch"

Watches, Sat-Nav all have time modes and Internet route guides all give distance/ travel times so no excuses.

On sites  (both clubs) that are in or near city/towns,seem to be attracting more "working" people  who find them "cheaper" than hotels when in the area which may account for "unusual" arr/dep times
