We chose this site primarily because of its closeness to York centre and from this point of view, it is great. Just a short walk takes you anywhere in the city. It's not the prettiest site we've seen and because of its compactness, some of the pitches require extra care when exiting and we were unable to fairly judge the peace and quiet as they were cutting down trees at the time. The facilities were clean and in good order and the wardens seemed friendly enough. The biggest problem was the wi-fi which was very erratic. Wi-fi on the Club sites can be hit and miss but this was the worst we had experienced. TV reception was good. There is also a good Indian restaurant close by, along with several other shops to cater for most needs. Altogether, if you wish to visit York, this site is ideal.
