Unable to walk to and from site with your dog!

Just back from 2 nights here (March 17) and all the facilities and wardens are faultless, its clean, tidy, warm showers, etc so I can recommend it on all the usual variables; however. Being unable to leave the site on foot with your dog in 2017 is just not acceptable. I picked up the vibe from the warden who booked me in that there is a lot of animosity and bad feeling with the horse owning next door neighbour (btw I never saw any horses) I reckon the club needs to spend some time, effort and make a legal argument to resolve this. I planned on parking up and then walking to the p and r which is perfectly achievable. The access roundabout is signal controlled, so little danger there and the road past the toby carvery is big grass verges, not the pedestrian nightmare that was described to me. This was the only option, as the site is also surrounded with barbed wire fences and deep ditches. Shared access is a fact of life for many, but here in Scotland we enjoy sensible and practical open access rights, that would obviate the sort of nonsense at Beechwood Grange. I will only stay again if no alternative - or if the access is resolved!

The Members Handbook clearly states about the restrictions for walking dogs, we have been to the site many times and it has not caused a problem.  The welfare of the horses is very important and most members just accept the situation.

”just accept” so that’s ok then?
