ROAD AHEAD CLOSED SIGNS - will give you a heart attack as you follow the Clubs Directions

I diligently followed the published directions, totally ignored the SatNav, what could go wrong? The road goes down to single lane - but long before you reach this point there are ROAD AHEAD CLOSED signs. On arrival I asked if the warden was aware of the signs - "Oh those have been there for weeks. You should always check the website before travelling" - I didn't and guess what when I did, not a word about the signs. Plenty of warning about the new electric system but not one word about the ROAD AHEAD CLOSED signs. It is a busy lane, we pulled over and the guy behind us kindly gave us directions. The twin axle caravan advertised our intended destination. The site itself is fine - I am giving low marks in the hope this stands out and helps people get there without a cardiac arrest. The last place to pass with a big rig is the airport entrance, after that it is just down the hill on the right. There are a couple of small passing places for cars.

I find if your coming from the M40 you can miss a lot of the lanes out by using the Denham Green Lane entry, go up the hill and turn right into Tilehouse Lane. The lane has been closed for months due to HS2. Thins will hopefully help with people who have “big rigs” in future 👌🏽
