We booked the site as a two way stop over whilst collecting our new van as the access fro the M25 is excellent. Be warned as other have mentioned the issue of taking the Tilehouse Lane access. DO NOT DO THIS! We managed to get away with it and met no traffic coming the other way. It is single lane only with few passing spaces. The airfield does generate significant noise. The coming and going of the helicopters is the worst offender. The other significant issue is the use of the site by business workers staying over in the week. If they are members then this is ok on one level but their coming and going at really unsicial hours is just not on. I thought the rules were no noise between 11pm and 7am in the morning! This is just not the case as people were up and off between 5.30 and 7.00am which is really unsociable. I can totally understand why people uase their vans and do this if working in London but it totally ruins the site for others who are on a vacation of some sort and do not want to rise that early. Perhaps all the work vehicles should be kept outside the site perimiter in the visitor area or these members be zoned in some way as then they only disturb themselves. It does need resolving though!
