The site is in a quiet location near the river Dee. There are plenty of walks and cycle routes to explore. The site is not huge and could well be quite crowded at the weekends and is a bit isolated and is not within easy walking distance of shops etc, but with a bike West Kirby is only 20 mins away. Some of the pitch areas were a little muddy due to the wet weather. The facilities on site are well kept but a bit dated. The wardens are friendly and helpful. The coast line near the site is very pleasant indeed and the views of North Wales are great.
