Lovely site in a superb location but boy does it catch the wind, regulars told us later that this is not unusual. The facilities are well kept bearing in mind the toilet block is dated and stretched in peak periods, there are signs of mould on the ceiling tiles in the showers.  We were given a barrier key on arrival but never used it as it was left open all week. If travelling to Liverpool the train from Hoylake is excellent and has a large free car park. The Chip van on Thursday evening is recommended, decent portions and very tasty.
