Great location

This is a lovely site in a great location although the toilet block defiantly needs a refurbishment. We were disappointed with the wardens who were not very welcoming and were very rarely seen about the site. On check in we were told there was only six pitches available and given a map highlighting the available pitches, however on driving around the site it was clear other pitches were empty other than those highlighted. We were told by other members that the warden keeps these for his friends which is obviously not right and needs looking into by the club We also noticed caravans and motorhomes arriving at least half a hour before they were suppose to and being allowed on site. 12noon being the earliest arrival time  Al makes for a lot of suspicion towards the wardens.

Message from the Club:

If the weather makes use of the grass pitches unsuitable, we take them out of use. If a warden is working on pitches doing hedge cutting, strimming etc, there will be a cone to show that it is not in use until the work is completed. This is called pitch management.

Highlighting pitches on the site map when members book in, shows pitches which can be used at that time. Highlighting pitches is to assist members.

The wardens never save pitches for friends and only ever reserve pitches near the toilet block for disabled members mostly using a disabled sign. We welcome you to contact us directly if you wish to discuss your experiences further.
