Another Great Stay on the Wirral

This is one of our favourite sites and returned after a few years away. Nothing has really changed except it's perhaps even cleaner than it used to be. Most of the pitches are very quiet and peaceful, great walks from the site, lots of dog friendly beaches and just a short trip to Liverpool - a very friendly vibrant city. The wardens were super friendly and helpful and maintained the site to a very high standard. We went during the school holidays which is something we normally avoid as we are currently looking after our grand daughter and although the site was busy with children I have to say the vast majority were fantastic and well behaved. As always there were a small minority of members that seem intent on doing what they want to do without consideration for the majority - be it mask wearing (or not), getting friends on site, late/early music or exercising their dog around the site. However, there weren't many and I'm not blaming "newbies" as we all were once. Didn't try the chip van but did have a trip to Parkgate, the first time we've been there and found a cracking Fish and Chip shop and a great Ice Cream parlour. Well worth a visit, as is the Vale Park fairy garden for girls of a certain age - and older grand parents.
