Though we have camped in a tent for over 40 years, this was our first foray as motorhome owners, and it was great. The site is lovely, peaceful and quiet (at least mid week it was). But more especially, the staff were fabulous; very welcoming and helpful to us newbies. The pitches are spacious, with some having great views over the Dee; the facilities are clean and well maintained, as are the grounds. There is a small shop at reception for essentials, including fresh milk, and a few luxuries (chocolates etc). There are great walks nearby and within (a longish) walking distance there is a coffee shop and a lovely restaurant. Another longish walk along the Wirral way takes you to West Kirby where you will find a range of shops, restaurants etc. We will definitely be visiting here regularly.
