Our first time here, during storm Heck. Despite three days of non stop torrential rain, the site was not flooded but had good walkable paths. The Christmas lights at the entrance made returning to the site at night magical! News Year Eve drinks and nibbles was a welcome surprise and very well hosted by wardens. Slight road noise during the day but quiet at night. Warm shower block, always clean. Another first was the photo murals in the utility block. Very eye catching. The walk into Winchester took just over the half hour, with a half hourly bus service return stopping outside the gates. BEWARE however the Club electric hook up is expensive when compared with hook ups at Tesco or Gunwharf Quays. Nearly. 3times more! Come on CAMC this should be fair especially for members.
