A lovely site, we were here a month ago and could see where a previous reviewer was coming from with regards weeds and the pitches but not enough to make a comment. The whole site though is now looking lovely and the weed/grass issue on hard standings is gone. The bus to Winchester is a 5 minute walk and every 30 minutes during the day. We would recommend the Taste of Gurkhas near the bus stop and the Gurkhas Inn a short distance from the Gurkha museum (also well worth a visit). The Tourist Information tours were well worth doing. In short there is a weeks worth of activities (including a Science Centre) in Winchester itself never mind the surrounding area. The staff are really friendly. There was a jacket potato truck one evening which was lovely and good value. I booked grass pitches for one booking and separately a hard standing for the last night but when I arrived they were able to accommodate my desire to be hard standing for the whole time and it was no problem to change pitch after the first night to one more suitable. The off lead dog walk isn't massive but has trees and activities to keep dogs interested and shaded from the hot sun. The facilities are new and spotless and we would definitely recommend it.
