Willingcott Summer 2016
Our first stay at Willingcott in our first year of Caravanning and it's a lovely well maintained site. The location is around 2 miles from Woolacombe beach which is superb, but it's a challenging walk back up as the site is quite elevated. The toilet block is immaculate and the site is well looked after. We chose a grass pitch as we had kids in the awning but the grass pitches are not all very level so you have to fiddle about a bit to get the best compromise here. The hardstanding pitches are fine as they are level.
Nice walk off road pretty much all the way to Ilfracombe along the old railway line out of the back of the site, and it's possible to walk to Woolacombe beach, but not really easy to take all of your beach stuff with you, so you will end up paying to park for the day down at the front. The roads around Woolacombe are tight so check your sat nav route carefully and stick to the bigger roads as many roads are single track with passing places, and that's not easy while towing. Great site, nice people.
