Just spent a week in October at this site our third visit to this site over the years. Nice big pitches with good space between. Facility block excellent & kept very clean. Easy access out of rear gate onto cycle route / path. From this path you can cycle or walk to Ilfracombe (approx 5 Miles) - mainly downhill to Ilfracombe so remember it’s an uphill start on return journey. Ilfracombe is rather hilly & has three supermarkets for supplies. Woolacombe is lovely with its beach & you can walk down to it from site (we did not walk this time as had a lot of rain & paths across fields looked a bit boggy). Nice cycle ride on road down to Mortehoe & then on track out to Ball Point lighthouse. Just keep in mind the site is not close to the beach so those who don’t walk distances or cycle will have to take the car or bus (bus stop near end of cycle path at rear of site by bend in road / pub).
