Life after lockdown.
This was our first outing after the covid lock down, 4/07/20 opening day of English sites. As we arrived into the area Tee-side is very industrialised, then you drive over the tees barrage and turn onto this little oasis of a site. We were greeted by the wardens who handed us our site information and instructions to how the social distancing system worked for the facilities. We found our pitch and set up. We spent 7 days on this site also visiting family in the local area (socially distancing) the site itself is immaculately kept, all the facilities were as you would expect for a club site spotlessly clean. The wardens and staff were friendly and on hand to assist if required they all worked hard to ensure the safety of every one on site with an exhaustive cleaning regime. All members appeared happy with the system in place to maintain social distancing. As stated earlier this site is an oasis in an industrial area its quiet, well kept and on the edge of a nature reserve, we were also surprised to find some grey seals swimming by the barrage as we took an evening walk by the river. We will definitely return to this site not only as its convenient to visit family but its a lovely site just on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.
