First time back at site after about eight years - was please to see that some of the larger trees and shrubs that were around the bottom part of the site and the dog walk have been cut down making it more open & able to see the view.. and the footpath leading to the main drive had received some tlc. This is an excellent site for walking be it near or far depending on your ability with your four legged friend(and theirs!) the surrounding countryside is just beautiful and so atmospheric after rainfall or even thunderstorms! There are plenty of places to drive out to - far too many to mention - and discovered that the wonderful butchers that was in Grassington ( for the best pork pies ever) now resides in the excellent little Spar/Fuel station down the road also small deli counter in there that sells wonderful samosas... easy to walk to via Skirethorns Lane. Had a meal at The Gamekeepers Inn at Long Ashes very nice - although choose a night with the specials to get better value. The site itself is usual club standard with clean facilities and friendly wardens and good size pitches and the hard standings are very hard - you need some muscles to get the awning pegs in! Will definitely return sooner rather than later next time.
