Wharfedale is a beautiful site that is perfectly placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Situated just outside Grassington, there are plenty of things to do from local walks from the site, to exploring Grassington and Skipton (20mins down the road). For the more active, the Yorkshire 3 Peaks are a 45 minute drive with the Ribblehead Viaduct another 10 mins further on. If you're lucky, you'll see a steam engine trundling overhead. Get there early though as parking spaces are at a premium from 10am onwards. The welcome upon arriving on site was first class, and the wardens worked hard to keep everthing clean and tidy. Overall, there was real buzz about the place, helped by the hot September weather. The static caravan complex next door has a nice pub thats sells quality food and drink, but the pubs in Grassington are just as good
