Absolutely great location for walking and other outdoor activities. Very welcoming staff (typical of almost all club sites), swift check in and the new two peg system is fine. Pegs were situated in the centre of the pitch and we could park tail in or out as per club rules. Only pointing this out as someone needs to tell this to the Hawes site staff. The adjacent Ashes holiday complex offers additional facilities including a lovely pub/restaurant. Old Hall Inn at Threshfield is only a short walk away and was the best all round for food, drink and value. Grassington is a 30-45 minute walk (take a torch if dark) An update is needed to the site information. The Grassington Dickensian market did not take place this year, replaced by a modest Christmas market on the Saturdays only. It did not bother us as we come for the walking but I know a few other people were disappointed. It was a community decision to not hold the Dickensian event because it had become a victim of its massive popularity and traffic issues.
