Long weekend
Arrived and warmly welcomed onto site on Thursday afternoon and were fortunate to get a pitch on millionaires avenue, a small row sitting above the main site near to the entrance / exit. We've been to Wharfedale several times, our last being 2021, this was our 1st time without a dog sadly.
Whilst the site remains in our hearts, due to many four legged friend adventures Grassington itself we thought had declined. Too many coffee shops with randomly placed mis-matched outdoor seating that didn't add to any of the ambience the square used to offer. We love All Creatures Great and Small but believe it's been the ruin of this beautiful village with every shop or signage giving a nod to the series. It's almost tacky!! We are at the Devonshire and even with today's financial climate taken into consideration, thought it was well over-priced.
Wharfedale CaMC site is a haven for wildlife and a great base for visiting the area and dog walks a plenty.
