Wonderful Wharfedale
Today we returned from a short break at this lovely site, one of our favourites. There are wonderful walks in the area, many of them straight from the site, but this time we took a drive over to Stainforth Force to see the salmon leap and we were not disappointed. It's an addictive pastime, watching the salmon trying to leap up waterfalls to get back to their spawning grounds. We also took a walk up to Catgill Foss - a huge waterfall in beautiful surroundings, well worth the uphill walk to see it. The stunning scenery of Wharfedale was even more beautiful with it's autumn colours.
The facilities at this site are always kept clean and warm and the site is well looked after by the hardworking wardens.
