Stunning location
Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 3 as it was so peaceful and the weather was good to us.
There were only two staff on last weekend and they couldn’t have been friendlier, chatting to customers, helping with problems, a real asset to the site.
Can’t understand the comments about it looking like a car park - not been on any car parks like this before.
Ideal for walking the dog, whether up the hill at the back to the old quarry, a stroll down the lane to the duck pond, or round the northern perimeter of the site.
It’s a short walk through the private statics site to the Gamekeepers Inn for a drink or food, and dogs are allowed in the bar, or at the 3/4 tables at the entrance to the conservatory restaurant.
Others have mentioned the Spa shop at Threshfield and it’s very handy, not to mention a bit of a Tardis. The butchers counter is a real attraction and my husband (a bit of a connoisseur of pork pies) really rated the pork pie with cheese and pickle.
