We recently spent 3 nights at this site, and arrived at approx. 1 pm to be greeted by a grumpy warden. He said I had to choose a grass pitch. I said have you got any hard standing free and he said yes, but want you on grass. I said no, I prefer hard standing to which he said he was saving those for people who were staying longer! I thought the club had a policy of first come first served. Anyway I insisted on hard standing and asked if he would mark the vacant ones on a map as is normally done. His response was to give me a map, mark the route and said you will have to ride round and find one! Several other caravaners I spoke to also commented on his rude manner and had noted that he had reserved pitches with a cone for favoured members! However we did not let this spoil our second stay on this excellent site.
