This was our first visit to Wharfedale. Was it peaceful? No and this was nothing to do with the location, it was much more about other campers. Perhaps we were just unlucky but people seemed to get up really early and start packing up, changing water, toilets etc from before 6 am. We witnessed caravans all packed up and away by 7.30 am. The site itself was well looked after, the dog walk was very good and the staff were very friendly. Downside were the shower/toilets. They are very tired. The shower cubicles are very small. I would hate to be an adult trying to shower a little one in there! The first time I used the shower I hung my clothes on the hooks on the back of the door and they were completely soaked. The non-adjustable showerhead is on the back wall of the shower cubicle and was at such an angle that the whole place got soaked. I used the caravan after that! We did enjoy the walking in the area.
