We have visited here many times and keep going back, however, we do feel standards are slipping. 0n arrival at 13:05 we had to wait in a queue just to have our membership card taken off us. There is flat land inside the gate but we had to do lots of hill starts to get in the site - why? Instructed to drive off, find a pitch then come back to pay which we duly did. Having pitched I went to pay and to be honest I found the warden to be curt in her manner. Only later did I realise that we hadn’t been given a site leaflet, plan etc. So not the best start. Not long before we noticed members cutting through our pitch to go to the service area. That in our minds is bad manners. The toilet block was a nightmare on the first visit for a shower. I have to use a disabled facility. Bad enough at the moment with no curtain but whilst showering I noticed the rod that holds the shower head was swinging loose. Having showered I noticed that long dark hair was strewn across the floor and this was only 10 minutes after block cleaning. All packed up and ready to go but then I couldn’t open the door!! That was the last time the block was used. I really wish the club would stop harping on about speeders. It they aren’t prepared to enforce - give up. It was bad on this site. Hubby has experience of speed cameras and reckons so we’re doing upward of 25mph.
