Lovely peaceful site

Lovely weekend break at Wharfedale site. Nice quiet site with lots of walks straight from the door. Only negatives were the gravel was a bit deep for our van the 1st pitch we chose was a bit tight to reverse into so I tried to use the mover - the jockey wheel dug in and the van wheels were spinning! Had to move to another pitch that I could reverse onto. Get the feeling the CAMC is forgetting that we don't all drive motorhomes...? Toilet/shower block was immaculate, so well done to the site team for that. Just a shame all sites are still obsessed about wearing facemasks. Most people I know don't even carry one, so when TOLD to wear a mask in reception (rather than being asked if I would mind wearing one) I was at a loss. It certainly didn't spoil what was a lovely weekend. Will definitely return.

To be honest, with the amount of daily infections we are still getting, I am not surprised that the Club would like people to continue wearing face masks , the amount of people from all over the country they get visiting must be a concern !!!

Couldn't agree more.  We are becoming complacent about this virus, and we can't afford to be.  Europe has a third of the infections we have because other measures, such as wearing masks, are still being adhered to.  It's not just about thinking the vaccine is the solution and nothing else needs to be done.  Well done to the Club for maintaining these requirements!!

I agree with both the above replies.  Everyone I know does carry a mask; as for sites "being obsessed about wearing facemasks", I'm very glad they are, although I wouldn't call it obsessed, but sensible.

Spare a thought for the wardens . Visitors may only speak to a few people in the open air, during their customers. Wardens speak to at least one person from every booking, in an enclosed space . The odds are stacked against them . It’s a personal responsibility to wear a mask and yes it’s a right not to wear one, but please consider other people
