Good for families

Great Dales site.

Lovely week at Wharfedale club site. First visit here and to southern Dales. Friendly wardens who were most welcoming and clearly maintained the site well. Peaceful site. Easy access. Some pitches need blocks as not level. Lots of pathways from the site for dog walking and to local pub (Old Hall Inn) in Threshfield. Good pub grub there. Can walk to Grassington too. The pub “Gamekeeper’s Arms” on the adjoining static site was more “modern” than we expected and we were underdressed in our muddy walking boots and waterproofs! Both pubs dog friendly. Lots of interesting places a short drive away (eg Haworth, Settle, Skipton, Ilkley) Bolton abbey estate was great for a visit - good riverside walking. Billybobs diner an interesting USA themed restaurant and food was good and looks popular for kids on a rainy day. Would visit again.
